Celebrating death

Celebrating death
is nothing new to mankind
but doing this blatantly
says only that you
do not value life
the base line
is this -
you clap your hands
when your enemy is dead
what about his/her children?
I am sure we all clapped
our hands when Hitler died.
But does that truly
make us better persons?
An old aunt used to say
that day the peace broke out,
now we just have to find
someone else to hate -
Oh I agree - you have to
be carefully taught
to love death
to hate anybody
of different belief,
different looking
different behaving
-
by all means
celebrate death instead of
l i f e.
