A long time
Since I have been home
A short period
Since I have been here
Trips away and forth
And back
Do I belong anywhere?
The expat's eternal
Pondering
Never to be quite solved
Due to this and that
And the other.
Only to realize once
That the dynasty created
By you is here
it is  only there
It feels at home - not
In the same spot as
You - the founder
Thought to be alive.
Just as well due to life's
Imponderable quests.
Does it matter as long
As you can feel content?
Yes but that is life.
