A room of one's own

My room is not occupied
often during these long years
but now I need it to be
before I check out

My room is dark and cosy
and sometimes its thoughts
flow freely as the rapids
of the Victoria Falls

My room  can expand
not too much - but openly
entice and invite excitedly
and supply tenderness

My room is mine alone
but I chose who can enter
maybe it is too late
but it can still change.

My room is a wonder
it inspires a poetess' ideas
it can also close shop
and say - this is enough

My room has a pride
which can be labelled
as a total woman
until it dies screaming.
