Daft parade

Daffodils oh daft spring
How can I ever not dwell
Upon a youthful hope
Warm loving wonder
But ephemeral it remains
Only a glimpse every year
A tug in the tummy
And it is sort of forgotten
Until again my eyes feast
Upon the bright yellow crowns
The parade is moving again
