A light far away
Can be an end
Of a cigarette
A glow closer by
Must be an old
Sixties neon sign
A beam close up
From a phone
Will shut the lids
Only the day
You go blind or
Die will the gleam
From your own
Two striking eyes
Close the camera’s
Budding receptors
And you will see
Neither the glow
Nor the beam’s light
