With murders and mayhem
No good news feed
From Timbuktu to Bethlehem
A rare philantrophic deed
The older I get
In disillusion sets
Is it a surprise
That we direct
And surely justify
With heads erect
Facebook and friends
To combat fatigue
With the world's miens
This is major league.
Alas, no answer in vogue
Our ethos gone rogue.
