Newly returned from across the ocean
my little village tends to its vibrations
of warm welcome in sunny wind
not caring whether its inhabitants is
in cahoots with indomitable spirits.
I pick up its unquiet ways of survival
with a funeral, a meeting of friends
in the local café - saying hello to the mayor
chatting with the formidable lady
at the haberdashery - now also dealing
with packages from all over via Amazon
so that the customers in a little central
can get their Christmas shopping done.
Its bustling traffic of mostly cars, vans
and pedestrians ( cyclists in between)
shows the heart of the matter : alive
until death - until next time -until news
