on the coast
sandy beaches
wild water tides
surfers' rides
pipis digs
grandsons'
lithe little bodies
wine visits
family together
not enough to do
so card games galore
uno's encores
a strange mix
of fellowship
sadness -
between screams
and laughter
and
dead birds
versus ice creams
just
another
family having
a holiday
somewhere else.
