My beauty of a city
a battle cavorting
too much cauterisation
of our civilization
much less concern
for all the world's countries
a too grand compromise
the democratic chattering
for our deliberating climate
where was Churchill
with his demands of cooperation
in view of the greatest calamity
we all lost in Copenhagen
