I de stille pigers land

I de stille pigers land
lever du i fred
med dig selv og dine
uden en vindende mand

I de stille pigers land
regerer kun du
i takt med dit humør
på dine præmissers rand

I de stille pigers land
er der en regel
som du følger uafbrudt
din sjæls feminine band.

of a cloudless heaven
hits my mind's childhood
a northernly divinity
not quite midnight sun
but an awakening to life.

Acceptance

Childhood reconstructed
faced without bravado
I could not use it
accepting that this time was such
and moving on to other things
like this life now -
a healthy solution to a restless burden
absolutely useless.
Biking along the paths of my youth
and smiling broadly
living just in this moment.

Une voyage en arriere?

Une voyage pour moi en arriere
sera sans des faits obligatoires
la seule chose contradictoire
est la psychologie de barriere
de mon enfance et ma jeunnesse.
Les vagues de l'ocean appairaissent
calmes et douches ? - helas non
Mes pensees se cofondront
en revant des jours d'antan
avec mes cauchemars orvietans.
De revertir a mes vieux lieux
pour moi sera studieux
- une etude de moi -meme
une introspection - un bareme
de mes faits fallacieux
ou mes omissions personelles
de fortement dire adieu
et confronter ma vie existentielle.

Deconctruction

Deconstruct is to destroy
Deconform is to be wild
what is then denote?
To indicate- mark???
does it mean that the notes
are false or that the types
are not defined?
No the de is opposite
of all logic but then so
is my train of thought.

Ruelle detruite

les maisons sont detruites
des vieux murs - durs -
la poussiere comme des
cendres qui vont suivre.

les morts d'un monde
tombent sombrement
au milieu du soleil brillant
une ruelle du moyen age

l'histoire des gens de passage
comme nous les vivants
deroule  temporellement
notre memoire se perd.

Hein?

Restant chez moi
calmement
pour ressoudre
des problemes
mettre l'ordre
dans mes effets
et essayer de
perdre des kilos
la lecture la nuit
et lejour se
promener pour
l'esprit du corps
Faire le menage?
 non - pas du tout
- seulement avec
la main gauche.
Une toute petite vie.

Another day of humanity

Home or somewhere else
along the way of life
an Irishman and his spouse
made me feel part
of a small community
somewhere on this planet
On the street I hear
people talking -drinking
quietly - over underneath
a garage - who does it belongs to
whoo knows -who cares.
Observing how intertwined
the village life is makes me aware
that we are all part of a village
whether we like it or not.
But in the burbs of
the big country overthere
it is not quite like that
abd that is what I have been missing
more than anything - here
I feel part of a whole
for the good or the bad.
It truly doesn't matter.
It is just a fact.- human life
in a nutshell - vive!

Walls getting breath of fresh air

Roughcast or peppledash
plaster on the walls
cannot stand it -
trying to remove it
bleeding - hard work.
Pepplecast  or roughdash
its name does not matter
but its has to come off
- date found behind one
1871 - fun -.
What more will be found
when the walls are exposed?
Paintings from the Roman times
golden age graffitti?
Dashcast or roughpepple?
Walls of a house
talk through the time
and one day someone else
will find what I will write
or draw on these old
barriers holding the village out
maybe sobering writing
another date and let someone else
wonder  about
castrough or dashpepple?!

Contraception

A choice of contraception
should be a human right
A  bloodline of perception
A choice of contraception
must have sperm interception
or balancing of all might.
A choice of contraception
should be a human right.

Paisible

La  pour toujours c'est calme
a l'interieur d'une eglise
les murs insonores - vieux
comme l'espace - rendent
l'echo de la musique.
Interprete par des artistes en passant
cela rend l'esprit une ouverture
de temps passe - la paix
seulement pour une seconde
- quel embuscade de l'ame

Plans

Gotta lay plans
for the time
it fizzles
if I do not.

Plans for what
for painting the walls
necessary
but it could wait

Plans for writing
a novel another poem?
Mindful of
the content - right?.

Plans for meeting friends
that is easier
it requires no effort
being a social observer.

Plans for a day out
or a day in - sweeping
washing - taking care
of that body of mine.

Plans - so many plans
alas, I think ...
I have to make plans
for making plans.

Memoir d'outre tombe??

Pour un metropolitain
d'etre dans un village
fait rever au tirage
reste que les quatrains

Les vieils hommes
et des femmes aussi
resteront enferme ici
sans le savoir - autonomes

D'ou les personages
vont faire leurs retours
sans grand tambour
aux  tombes sauvages?

Pour des certains untels
s' acclament avec des mailloches
mais la terre se decroche
et seul eux sont immortels.

L'artiste manquee

L'artiste
n'ose pas
ne me permets pas
pas si douee
manquee

L'artiste
ne m'ouvre pas
m'excuse toujours
pas le temps
manquee

L'artiste
reste en moi
suis sur mes gardes
m'isole
manquee.

Vandals

Alas, my poor little car
its veins of starter
ribbed loose
so a visit to a car doctor
to  come alive again.
The frog car will ribbit
once more.

Bell Beaker Form

Ancient Neolithic form
of barley and burials
from continental Europe
to the Celtic Isles
how did they come
to have that special form?
Were it a form of Matriarchal
linear curvaceous shape
embracing the Goddess
in all her might - given
that each sculptress
to a secret bound oath
that each knew - the last
of the great goddess form
in a utilitarian urn or jar?
It could naturally be interpreted
as the male aggregate -  a vaunt
or mayhap a marriage vessel?
From barley and wine to an urn
all life is contained
in a earthenware container.

Le temps d'un village

Le village reste toujours
et les gens parcourent
avec leurs buts quotidiens
il y aura des frais diluviens
sans le savoir - dans l'abbatoir
la vie continue - roulante biscornue.
Une chose reste - des chansons de geste
avec leurs histoires d'amour
l'eternel  mi-transparent abat-jour.

Surcongele

Le clan des etrangers
vient d'avoir une convocation amicale
tous sont tres polis
sous l'epiderme elegant
il y a des etranges sentiments
d'un froideur surcongele.

Twingo encore

Twingo tango
twisting along
singing - spinning
twirling the wagon
the well-known roads
of a special place
gazing out the window
with smiles on my face
Banquo twingo.

A new day

On to a new day
of a new life
on to a village
of  my own
on to adventures
of  unknown
on to sorrows
of a sad wife
on to a new day.

Sadness - not yet

Sadness - another year
All the students gone
spread some minuscule
words of wisdom
cannot be sure.
Knowledge parted
is wisdom grabbed
sadly recognizing
that some may not succeed
hopelessly optimistic -
maybe next time
although for some - this
will be what they get
from their surroundings,
You're a failure.
Optimist always
from  downwards
spiralling will try
and again upbeating
this hope - nay fantasy
that one day a flaying one
shall be flying somehow,
when - is another matter
but - on eday!

Raccoons' haiku

with dainty planters and chairs

A sin

A priest's ordination
made an impression
the paganism in all
the symbols tall
How very easy it seems
to the believers beams
of faith and religion
only - a winged pigeon
flying with the mind
along with its rhyme
part of being commune
singing with the bassoon.
Alas, all the pageantry
splashed like falconry
beautiful slaughter of kin
to an atheist - a true sin

Dr. Seuss -not in vain

Weird people wired weirdly
the in-betweeners drown in the middle
sane  persons sounding sane
are there in the world anythingers?
Turning the points upside down -
the go-alongers still are in the muddle!
So what are you, a weirdo or goodnick
any other denomination is out.
And if you are between a wired weirdo
or good sanenick - can you be
a sane weirdo with a penchant for
an inbetweener odd goodnick ?

Poetical conundrum

Confound the ways
of the brainwaves
when driving a car
all of a sudden
the poetess has doubts
not so much about
how she writes
but that poems
should have endings
like life itself?
Should the couplets
rhyme or kowtow
to the slavery of the grammar?
Must the poets show
their innermost intuition
by saying exactly
what they think and no fix?
Would it be better
to just go with the flow
and join the other thousands
- rhyming their lives away -
for lack of a better term?
(Poets should always know
what to think, but they do not -
a pro's secret - )

This hypothesis will end
with no answers - just
a random ambrosial blurb
on this little blog,
but it is mine!

new web spin

A website needs updating
so does one reinvent the wheel?
Copy other sites, twist the tweets?
Something that appeals
to this generation's span
of both tweets and
facebookers' pokes.
Can academia converse
seriously with instagrams
of micro-ittentional
calibrated brainwaves
due to all the electrons?
Teaching theorems
through massive measures
into iphonial goggles.
Website must apply
a newsy wayward in
to the users' brainwaves.
Death by cobwebs otherwise.

Nobodies

Ninny-hammers and nincompoops
wonderful terms for a nobody
but to be that judge of another
is for the very mindset of numskulls.
Nobodies are somebodies
for someone, for anybody.

Poetry day

A poem will keep at bay
the poet police -
jut a piece of word junk
in my pocket's trunk.
Your poem  - please!
Go ahead - make my day.

Un vie sans trop des mots

L'enfant innocent
joue entretemps
en grandissant

La petite dame grise
une meme sans goumandise
se tranquillise

Le grand homme noir
reste toujours dans ma memoire
il va m'abbatoir

No regrets

An accordionist' songs of yesteryear
tickled my loins of a long forgotten
enthusiastic spring-autumn affair
I would not for any reason
have been without that -
Tremolos and  no regrets!

Friday twilights

April eve on route forty
somewhere in the US
the heavens sprout a plumage
on the horizon - in Charon
darkness grows Easterly
grazing the mid stern
and suddenly a sparkle
could it be - l'chaim?
A dinner with wine
would do  it to you
even on the end of
a long week's Friday night.

Songbird haiku

A yellow songbird
winked, sparkled in the limelight  -
sing to my plumage.

Post it

post-it-notes
those cute paper blocks
say so much
say so little
you write
you jot
you mean
you shout it
all on a post-it-note
physically
and on the fly
you twist
you twit
you twitter
all on the post-it-air
two sides
same coin
musically
you read notes
you play notes
one on the pages
the other in the air
that's all for this post

Philo-mourir

Au lieu de faire l'amour
faut-il rire embarrassant la mort?
Ou est-ce possible
d'amenager avec le rire fou?
La question me reste
cela vaut la peine??

Haiku for sneezers

A sunny spring day
April requires blossoming
sneezers keep inside.

Friday, April 13, 2012

To you Mr Mozart

took a trip tonight on YouTube
mostly to Italian opera
but now only Mozart
will put me to doze
with his Requiem
lulling me tired
brain waves
to sleep
to worlds
of different
kinds musically
calling me wildly
my heart beats as
the songs intricately
weave in and out of my
heart's arrhythmic beatings
the modern mensch's dreams

Des chaises flottantes

Sur des chaises flottantes
en plein air - elegantes
quelles sont vos itenerants
les utilisant en passant?
Joueurs aiment le solfege
au table dans votre manege?
Vous servez vos amis avec arpege
comme un directeur d'un chorege!
Chacun des importants invites
n'ayant pas peur de cahoter
entre les unes et les autres
sachant la vie n'est pas neutre
les joueurs qui passent en vivant
vous embrassent collectivement.

A pebble

rounded by sand
into a oblong sphere
seen on a beach
picked up by a child
thrown out in the sea
to return a little
further along the shore
cradled by the waves
for another thousand
of years beoming minute
still here - until sand
eaten by an oyster
growing as a bother
to its host
caught years later
by a fisherman
who was on the prey
for the perfect pearl
that mensch on a beach
gave birth to
gray genuine gem

Philo cook grook

It took a long time to prepare
cut, baste, bake and share
ridiculous - when it truly takes
only ten minutes ....to eat - mate!

Mobile Bauhaus

Yellow - Red - Blue
remnant of Goethe's hue
Kandinsky's philosophy
of definite velocity
hangs about your head
weaving its history's bed
of simple elegant Bauhaus
you can dream and espouse.

On seeing a mobile

dervish' dance

Whims of motion
whirling around
a perfect rest
wakeful devotion
within - no sound
of a dervish' chest.

Lies and history

Detecting lies
must be daunting
truths and realities
will come haunting.

White lies and bigger
ones like a whopper
the perpetrator are
distinctive as copper.

Truthiness  in life
is a necessary evil
though sometimes
you may not believe it.

For history to detect
what really went on
possibly cutting through
the bull - and then run

away to a different
dimension of the brain
twists and mindsets
of the individual sane

what is wrong what is right
is always telling the truth
as brilliant as gold
or the story goes kaput?

Many a historian postulates
mendacity found later
improves since lies at the time
denotes a high indicator

So can we detect lies
as clear as a day in May?
No, unless the microsecond
of untruth's man betrays.

Hitler's act at Munich
displayed  a schtick
for Chamberlin to
fall totally for his trick.

On reading about Lies and how to detect them

Eve's daughters

Why don't all women
adhere to these few steps
decide for
yourself
your body
your beliefs
your politics
your rights
and then whoever you
want to love.
Somehow it is simple
a la Hillary Clinton
and wishing it were so.
Instead we have
attacks on our bodies
every day in every way
our beliefs are belittled
our rights and political views
are being ridiculed
discredited, slammed!!!
Will all Eve's daughters
subscribe to Aristophanes's
"poison pen" and rebel?
Not in my lifetime nor
in my daughter's but
someday - in Utopia!

How we evolve

Little children run around
in their house
checking their boundaries
where they can flip
here they can flop
and in that corner
they can become silent
resting for a nanosecond
The teens of the world
in their way
promoting their borders
where they can drip
here they can drop
and in that area
they will become enraged
doubting their sanity
The adults alas at last
tiptoe hesitantly
knowing their worth
what they can buy
what they can sell
and consequently
they will erupt furiously
only to create tuck-of wars.

Freezing chill

Somehow today
freezing in my soul
embraces not
the wanton warmth.
Will my body regain
its healthy heat
or will I until my
secure demise
encapsulate coldness
without a fight?
Unthawing ensures
my inner world
slowly linking it to
a standstill - chillingly
crispiness embodies
only one thought
a sad picture of
a woman giving up.
How many a lady
have experienced
that iciness -
to only discern
the gelidity in her?
Sleep - sleep - sleep.

World according to Yanko Tsvetkov

The Russians drink
The French stink
Brits are highbrow
Germans eat 'krauts
Italians devore spaghetti
Greeks dance sweaty
when it comes to names
what a fun game
to label is to fear
ignorance - no cheer
thanks to Tsvetkov
piercing a sacred cow!

Silly Easter rhyme

What eats the Easter Bunny
hopping out onto the lawn
it was a misty early
Sunday on Easter morn.
He picked up the eggs
from where they were
all colors abound lightened
fuchsia, greenish azure.
He wondered how many
he would surely eat
remembering years past
tummy ache. To beat
it he swore he wouldn't
do that ever for years
so he reput the eggs down
smilingly  he was cured.
Let the boy and girls
get their eggs instead of me
he hipped and hopped
and stroked his goatee.

For my grandsons

Vivat homo

I find the solutions
on the net
clumsiness abound
to save yet
my inadequacy
surely let
my better half
do the set.
And for that reason
I thee wed.

Enigma

Enigma of world war 2
began long before
coding and decoding
became vital to all
those whose machine
it belonged to
and those who won -
alas too many died
but more would have
had the machine
kept its secrets forever.

Nothing but dust

Nero's Domus Aurea
created a new form
even though erased
"damnatio memoriae"
from the Fori Romani -
a trace of it was found
in Titus monument
for Vespasian his father.
Nothing but a dance macabre
at my funeral pyre
only the dirt on a little
road in the middle of the vinyards
will hail my aging bones
and the rest will be at sea
with Poseidon's creatures
leaving a new spawn of frogs.

Monday to Sunday children

Monday's child is far away
Tuesday's child will go astray
Wednesday's child thinks so much
Thurday's child runs amok
Friday's child will dance and sing
Saturday's child will wildly swim
Sunday's child is a wherewithal
but you've gotta love them all.

A.nswer to a nursery rhyme.

if you're in flotsam

a thankless badass!

Challenged haiku

A ring lost in Rhine
Gods, earthlings loved fought entwined
saved doomed reassigned

Some like it ---

Some like it like this
others like it like that
again another likes it comme ci
and I like it comme cela
but the whole world
fucks around each other
I wonder why we bother
the sex drive is strong
but power is stronger
so if you play the game of sex
it is all about power!

Being of nothing

A something about nothing
remembering the time
the poetess had
a word breakdown
nothing meant everything
anyone exclaimed.
A nihilistic period of
about four years straight.
Two things happened
a teacher put the mind right
plus mother's dictum
"words can hurt".

Meeting a neighbor who
talked about an experience of hers.
She was hurt by words

Hommage a Dorothy Parker

Women delight in novelty
Men die without stability
Love for the female is fun
Men die without a homerun
A Woman lives within herself
A man will jerk off himself
Two sexes in eternal battle
so what to do with the cattle?

Romantic literature

Reading romantic novels
a new discipline in college courses
sounds like a winner.
The heroine changes from
a rebel to an learned lady
between a dinner
with the champion of her choice
and lust and love combines
the author's spinner.
Whatever powers women
to read and enjoy escapes
commends a glimmer.

The McDaniels college announces
a new discipline.

Stress test

A nuclear stress
applied to me
by a medical toy
I shall be "blinking"
if going through
a"security machine"
for thirty days
a truly ravine
of heart's digress.
The worst was not
the thread mill -
but the time where
the arms had to
be held over my head
of course lying down
but still a bloody
awful situation - dead.
Twice keeping still
while machines
worked their will
to try and dissect
my machine's rhythm
and after a day of blues
a solidly sobering
somewhere's why and how
the doc will decide
whether or not I
shall live or die.
Not that I mind
and for modern medicine
I am inclined
to say eventually
stop it once somehow?

Equinox

Spring again
and jump high
stop the time
a beautiful lie
of need to be
wherever
a life stopped
forever.
Nobody can
avoid the toc
of the seasons'
running clock
arrest your steps
for just a moment
and inhale the
flowers unbent
with life's spring
and jubilant joy
this hour is but
an ephemeral toy.

College essay

Writing a college essay
is a piece of resistance
you have to hit the receiver
with a very clear balance
between opinion and fact -
and general and specifics.
To get your message across
simply: not hieroglyphics.

From your brain to the paper
in the beginning - a diarrhea
of messed up blurry thoughts
a list of relevant words - ideas
jumbled in no order at all
then somehow a rugged draft
materializes into a skill
of college writing - a craft.

With a thesis at the end
of the short introduction -
the just controlling points
in three - a great solution
to reiterate your thought -
a completing paragraph
shows the finished product
without too many gaffes.

Ethics - at quarter to five

An ethics' discussion
a brainy concussion
of what is right and wrong.
If you really start
you will finally impart
with yes - but just along
the highway of morals
a leaf of righteous laurels
it is not that easy to sway
and surely along the way
the twist of it all sustains
all timelessness strains.

Philosophical thoughts in
an ethics workshop

A "diva's" mom's comment

how could you not be sublime?

just funnily divine

a bore's transgressing.

March shock

Plump - down I went
how clumsy can you get?
My back was not bent
my head intact -yet
luckily for me
whole as can be.
Sometimes luck
is all you need
or even pluck
is what you heed!
But neither knees
nor hands were hurt
just a tad more alert.
Every time I think
now - it is the wink
of death and doom
when I fall in a room,
outside it's even worse
next -bring the hearse
So if march starts like this
whatever else to miss???

Ennui

Ennui - suffer the day
everyday to the nth
why would you feel
that you would be
a l i v e if
you surround yourself
with sounds in the round
drowning out your life
qualm your curiosity
i n l i f e
a new metaphor for
spleen - without depression
hate or love or blah
your intellectual laziness
is your d e a t h.

The sad beat ode

Ode to intimate friends
where ever I turn my head
I see you to no end
alas I am properly bred
with societal times of forties
over the sixties breakdown
an eighties gala sorties
with a year of two and ten
but we do not do
like we used to
we do not dance
in a sure trance
and life goes on
drummer's undone.

Bygone

Sunday eve
a week ends
a new begins;
something
in the oven
to be had
for a meal.
The clock strikes six
and thoughts jump
to childhood
nights of yore
it was special
and maybe mine
now are not
alas
how can I compare
the 21st
with mid 20th?
A world apart.

Password ode

Passwords to be damned
everything needs a p-word
mnemonical techniques
of yesteryear are absurd,
unless you are an ally
of remembering dit and dots
with stuff or sure bluff
or your dear aunt Sally.
My memory is not to be
but not not not to see
that alas paper and pen
will be of use again.
So ask for my p -word
and my eyes go blurred.

Neighborhood

It was a sunny day
and the neighborhood felt safe
except the neighborhood watch
came out with a warning
somebody did not belong!

As I was reading the
Boston strangler book
about the terrible murders
and mayhem upfront
it did something else.

In a neighborhood safe
for more than 21 years
of quietly not derring-do
I realized that now reality
truly sets in somehow.

In comparison with others
an occasional beat-up wife
a drunken man - two teenagers
who LSD tripped -fell
and are both wheelchair bound.

Otherwise I have unwisely
perhaps but steadily
left car-doors open - albeit
the cars had nothing in them
and stick-shift safety.

No more open cars windows
no more unlocked doors
in summers - at night
when walking the dog
now I feel reality too close!!

V-day philosophy

Valentine's Day
2012
the old broad's
expanding rep;
Vagina's day.

Valentine's Day

the young maiden
expectant
V - day's
disappointment.

Love and lust
what wins with
the sacred V,
somewhere
in between.

Toss the ring

The ring -
I survived it
a phantasmogoric
fairy tale with a machine
I think the maestro
would have liked it.
The Mets
fabulous casts
can be had of
everyman in HD
live you see
it returns
to the Rhine.

Poet's inner self

As a poet I may stink
to some younger hearts
but don't deny me the right
to say- just what
I feel like - smarts
to me it may not be what
you personally seek
do not judge until
you have walked the miles
in my shoes - at will
poets try hard to delve
whatever it is they convey
but another thing is totally this
will you get laid - or
just the heart inside betrayed.

Futuristic plans?

You ain't seen nothing yet
cleaning out closets - shelves
but they sure don't do it
all by themselves -
Phew!

A life passing by
in form of stuff
enough is enough.

No more baggage of any kind
only a remodeled mind
to be had for the future
must be a sure found bet.

Working on it now
for a couple of weeks
I am sure it takes
with many more breaks
but my goal is clear
even if it takes me a year;
I shall continue my quest.

An early spring cleaning

Throwing out stuff
papers from 15 years plus
is depressing
but
if I don't do it now
somebody else would have to at
my demise
so
It is better for me
to have a big clean out
definitely
yes
it is time to let go
of kids' stuff and more
sadly deferential
somehow
they are old enough
to face their own childhood
grades - delightful
alas
life always looks better
with rose-tinted glasses
a dreamers world
so
giving up motherly control
is not a bad thing
independence
yaeh!

Cyber security

Facebook has gone public
all the rest of it - is junk
any one feel secure to-day?
wash you ha(i)rebrained funk,
only an idiot would think
that twilight truly is debunk'd.

Bucket list?

My bucket list
is simple -
see Florence again-
gape at Rijksmuseum
enjoy the tulips in bloom-
go along the Normandy beaches
and play golf in Scotland -
look at my growing grand kids
walk along the trusty road
that I know so well
in my little village
and even once more
take a peek at my hometown
talk with my old friends
and see my children
lead fulfilling lives -
but for now I walk the dog
in the February sunshine.

Wintry blahs

Diurnal longings
for something else
turn to gripes
on your self
away bad thoughts
of a certain kind
a woolen scarf
to securely wind
around your neck
on a daily journey -
otherwise you'll
end up on a gurney.

Reading rewiring

Rewiring in youngster's brains
due to all electronic games
worries a modern grandma.

From the day in the womb
all a fetus hears - until the tomb
voices - music - and blip blops.

Talked to a reading specialist
she was a sure realist
to motivate kids to read.

Nobody's found a new way
to reach the lost ones every day:
read and write for survival.

Send an email/text whatever
for modern technology deliver
directly to their "inbox".

That would be my solution
for educators' revolution
of teaching reading: join it.

Hey Mr. Postman

Hey, you deliver
our mail
I see you wave
every time
I walk the dog
yet
I know nothing
about you.

We talked a teensy
bit today,
while you delivered
a parcel needing
a signature,
and I reminisced
that I had seen you
when I lived in
the apartment more
than 25 years ago.

You said that you
had worked for the Postal
service for 26 years.

Wow, you know
so much about what mail
I get etc. etc.
and I know nothing
about you except
your gentle smile.

So next time I see you,
Mr. Postman,
I shall ask your name!

Observation

Dog is walking weirdly
like she is have arthritis
but she cannot tell -
is it her paw
or shoulder or
a more serious matter?
She cannot say
so my observation skills
have to be astute
as when the kids were little.
You guess - you weigh
you sometimes err
but never let it go.
One day - you might
need that someone
to watch over you
intensely with tenderness.

A political so-called Ode

News and news about a Newt
can the election get more screwed?
Fearing the fellow - with a piccadillo
seemingly big - a conservative billow.
Unfortunately for the voters
he is kind of a bloater
but very intelligent with power
he will the electorate scour.
Beware of the Grinch
he will the middle lynch.
Never mind the poor
he will show them the door.
Only the rich need apply
to justice - a solemn good-bye.

Bananas

Bananas
my dog likes them
I like them too,
Bananas.

Bananas
She drools whenever
I open one.
Bananas.

Oranges
my dog likes them
I like them too
Oranges.

Oranges
She wants them
I want them too
Oranges

Chocolate
my dog likes it
I like it
Chocolate.

Chocolate
She want it
I want it too
Chocolate

Dog poop
She makes it
I don't like
to pick it up
But I surely do.
Dog poop

Dog poop
She wants it
If I let her
she will eat it too
Dog poop

So we differ
my dog and I
That's all
there's to it.
I whiffer
she sniffers.
Vive that.

Opus unnumbered

Animals do not pray
but many of them prey
on other species
(occasionally on their own).
Humans do pray
and most of them prey
on animals and often on their own
in the name of belief.
Religions come in handy
for humans to blame,
I did it in the God's name.

(Dedicated to G. Carlin and
B. Mayer)

Health-philo

Returning home from down

A moment later in wintry old
my ailments reboot with no

So having been in change

it cannot be in my head
but in the current climate

killing machines

bulls being butchered
in the abattoir
at 300 an hour
not quiet dead yet
butchers go back
at night to violent videos
whatever...

hunters hunt their prey
cut throats with knives
or machetes
for fun or just because
is it a game or what?

hangmen see and smell
their duty
electric chair or needle?
which is faster?
the smell of the charred flesh
the nostrils picks it up

military forces root
men to kill
dehumanizing their prey
what do the killing
young machines feel -
the first one
a man like you
alive and then gone -
gunning a whole village
mutant - mensch
no more
dreams thoughts
haunt until

Quiet stillness

Odd weather pattern

Four seasons or more
all of it or less in a day
so when you travel
down under this way
this craziness and charm
is the truth of
a Melbournian stay.

Vade mecum

Go with me
on a walk
in the past
in the present

Go with me
on a trip
to a park
to a place

Go with me
on a break
for a while
for a time

Go with me
on a quest
into the soul
into the self

A mirror
of you
is found there
A mirage
of me
is bound here.

Venus Bay week

Venus Bay
on the coast
sandy beaches
wild water tides
surfers' rides
pipis digs
grandsons'
lithe little bodies
wine visits
family together
not enough to do
so card games galore
uno's encores
a strange mix
of fellowship
sadness -
between screams
and laughter
and
dead birds
versus ice creams
just
another
family having
a holiday
somewhere else.
