Knees need kneeing

I tripped on a trip

far away from home

ladies were lamenting

about knees needing

replacement

I tripped on a trip

walking walloping

now hurting one knee

just hobbling along

not quite there

wondering how just

I could do this

so frightfully

inelegantly

will probably do

it again some day

klutzy as I am

rekneeing it 

Muddled thoughts

Is it possible to abhor all things human

to detest myself included

of course - that would be a teen’s privilege 

but come now also a granny’s ditto

Not sure where this whole thing is going

where I shall finally end up

Yes, dead, surely,  but in the meantime

trying vigorously not to succumb 

to morose thoughts and being too mean

just because I for once know in my bones

what life shall bring and I truly do not

want to give up paradise yet this has

So put on a happy face as the song goes

and work out beneath the endless fears

and hide the tears of anger and mischief

and that’s where the muddleness comes in.
