An Elfish story

An elf has been left out
for whole year - wow
what will he do
of mischief now?
Since they come and
enjoy the tidings of
Yulemonth festives
candles, cards of love.
Must put him up
elsewhere tonight
otherwise he will
therwise he will
us haunt with spite.

appear in the month of Dec.
at our house)

Cold thoughts

Philosophying intensely
vilifies the true cognoscenta.
All it takes is a nasal drip
out goes the mind -
the spirit and the body -
me a rejectamenta!

Novembismus

English language
knocks the ideas
absorbing words
of all kinds.
I muse about
this flexibility
and applaud
that I can invent
a phraseology,
unknown today,
but tomorrow
it shall be hailed
as a new option.
That slang enters
and all of a sudden
it truly becomes
oddly mainstream
and therefore
bores the poets
alas - a word will
not come to be
so let the keyboard
be the inventor -
novembismus.

Novembismus: a noun,
signifying the feeling of late November
and the craziness before the holiday, the
last breath before going out on black Friday.
Poetess never suffers from novembismus,
because she does not venture out on Black Friday.

Ideals gone?

European souls
of the lost expats
will bloom only
when then they
return to the soils
of the lost grounds
of blood and tears.
A new wave of trials
ne'er before dawn
to wake up -
home - a daze
of the unseen
sad utopians.

Bedside manners

A woman I know
was told in no certain terms
that she is dying
and why has she not checked
into hospice yet!

She is alive and working
trying to live her life
as she knows it.
Nobody knows how
the doc phrased his message.

From a nurse friend I understood
that the doctors are required
to tell their patients
the cruel facts when there is
no more that they can do.

Bedside manners matter
more than ever -
there are ways to tell
with empathy
that you are dying.

Alas, mayhap this doctor
needs a remedial course
in phraseology of kindness
or
the doctor was sad and
this was his third patient
that day to swing the ax over.

The recipient of this earful
worries even more
the mind hears only this,
You are a goner.
Present the message mercifully.

Cold numbers

My bane has always been
the damnable common cold
I realized not long ago
being 60 plus something old
that numbers of the mean
are 300 plus of snot flow!

NYC wisp

New York City
in the autumn
gallivanting around
the busy thoroughfares
away from suburbia
into the arms
of life-strikes -
a will-o'-the-wisp.

A bluish mood

Fairy weather tales
of woes and whatnots
once the rainy splots
wear winter quails.

Old crones of Wales
tell stories of hots
alas not great shots
but dreary wails.

So ends the dales
of deep granny knots
anger cannot rot
the soul is frail.

A fate of my own?

Oh, from the lovely little country
I still call my own
I have it outgrown
only to realize- this is my foundry!

Where I was born and bred
I can relate albeit
sitting in a seat
far away - as a cylinder head?

Yes of course - a spinning top
but only when
the true quill pen
and the heart says stop.

Rememberance

When wars are fought
the cooks disappear
in the fields of fights.
The laymen/women
of any sort
we never hear of
their heroics?
They all deserve a page,
we are a chain
and some of the
hooks get more polish
than others, alas.

(To the unknown fighters and everybody else
who due to human whims have to fight wars.

A fight

A doctor prescribed a procedure
I thought it was fluff -
removing something
that is shrinking day by day.
I cancelled the ordeal.
My internist's office called
she wants me to call the
doctor again to see if I am right.
Truly wondering - do I have
any say over my own body?
I have made another appointment
unbeknownst to them
to get a second opinion.
According to the laws of my state
if I have to have a procedure
I must have a second opinion.
So until then me and my
now tiny blob on my skin
will await until just then.

Wine memory

stunning sparks of taste
remembering romance
down my thirsty throat.

Soles abound

Wandering souls
flying around the universe -
is the space big enough
for little me?
Watering souls
swimming around the sea
are the oceans big enough
for tiny me?
Walking souls
pedestrianize around the earth
are the lands too big
for itty me?

Somewhere the me
will rest - just not yet
on its aery, splazy, wobbly path.

La mer Revisited

Trenet's song of the sea
version Django Reinhardt/Stephane Grappelli
embodies what this sea lover
dreams of walking along a beach
on the Mediterranean.
To be there now would be a warm wave
of bodily amour
on a cold November morn
sitting at the keyboard
drinking coffee.
Come what may I will always
have - not Paris, but "la Mer".

Fetus versus mom musings

A fetus is now a legal person
with own rights in many states -
its mom is just a birthing machine!
If the mom's life is in danger -
fetus's right takes over
kills mom
and everybody is happy!

Where is the personal freedom
of a woman to make her
own individually right choice
for her own body and soul?
Not going back to the back alleys
but if necessary we may have to
saving the life of mom and her sanity!

Darkness reigns

"I own with reason: for, if men but knew
Some fixed end to ills, they would be strong
By some device unconquered to withstand religions and the menacings of seers."
Lucretius (roman Poet)

Oh wild west wind
no that poem has been written
one shoe two blue shoes
again that stanza had its run.

Alas, eons of years ago
before I arrived on this merry-go-around
a brilliant man has thought the same - !

So how can anyone dare to write
anything because plus cela change
plus c'est la meme chose.

And yet, each poet, each writer,
even each primary schooler scribbles
in the hope that something new
will erupt out of the morass
out of the mixture of words
following certain rules
at least trying to suppress the norms

no rules - becomes the rule
hence the henchman of words
Kill not the poet -
hail the message
or vice versa - total obscurity.
today in poetry - therefore
we have to revert to
old tried rhythms and blues
(alas another cliche)
a full glorious moon
a sad wintry morn
a bleak beige daybreak
pick your picture -
cut and paste
with luck - you end up
with a sonnet or
a bonnet where the bees
can frolic
a thought is no longer
a solid....
(fill in the blank yourself, dear reader!)

Those !@#$ kilos

Those damned kilos
those extra 4-5 ones
I hate them,
I deplore that at the present
I cannot get rid of their presence.
They bother my self
they make feel a lump.
I have got
to get them to rot
I have to get off my lazy duff.

Sweet tooth

Sweet tooth every night
scary thought all right
gummy bear and worms
the world will churn
my stomach upside down
calories somewhat abound
and tooth decay for show
my dentist will know
the scales in my bathroom
will somehow make room
for my nightly indulgence
I alas claim impotence.

Nested pictures

Facebook can be revealing
and go back in time
to when oldies were young
it can be very appealing
and darned sublime
but where time was hung
between the past freewheeling
of mourning's enzymes.
Showing what was and what is
can reflect good taste
or some younger crowds
will say - oh what waste
but one day - they'll be proud
of their parents' showcase
of common heritage nids.

Atlantis revisited

Atlantis weaves in
and out of histories
from Plato to Nazism
and everything in between.
Island or continent,
the idea of a lost state
haunts even today
the archeologists.
If it were true
if we could find it
would it be different
than in the mind's eyes
for thousand years?
Schlieman found Troy,
will somebody find
the lost realm?

Dog wagging

Dog behavior is stranger
than usual, my sweet pet,
what ails you?
Sometimes I wish we could
have the conversation
of your day versus mine.
I think I failed you.
I leave you stranded a
at home - almost three days
every week, yet
when I come home
no hard feelings
just a wagging tail.
Am I lucky or what?
Just one thing, you do know
I love you.

Autumn's autonomy

I lament the fact
that September has gone
the coldness in the works
and autumn has begun
with a vengeance
my mood's deference
to darker days ahead
glorious gloom embed'
climate's gentle perks
red wines me detract.

Ant attack ode

Ants attack in my kitchen
I do not like it a smidgen
they creep and they crawl
they run and they sprawl
one hole is closed
but a dozen more exposed
what more can we do
clean up any food goo
chemically killing them
creates alas a mayhem
all the ones here condemn'
my food larder a pure gem
for the ants and their "femme"
time to get rid of the phlegm.

Move over Einstein

Another jolt to a grand belief
Einstein's theories may not hold
for an aesthete it's a sorry relief
cause everything but zilch will fold
into something less than a massif
not even beauty is the leitmotif
change is the only credo foretold.

when I absorb a story
my mind will worry

and I shall draw my last breath.

Interface

A new and cleaner interface
what is that to me?
Is it that the writing on the wall
is easier to see
or is it that not so much fluff
on the screen to be?
I do not truly care about
what is on the doodad
I know I could do more
if I chose that ad
with great mercantilizaton
alas I fell for that fad
I should applaud vividly
this cleaner look
clap my hand and shout
yet the Internet's hook
of dealing or wheeling's time
will be like the Chinook.

Men's wear

Being older and wiser(ha)
I know a thing or two
and here is what my counsel
is to womankind too.

Men's wear is much better
the producers of course
realize that women are fickle
money to spent - applause.

So now the old broad
has instituted in her mind
buying sandals and boots
is better of the male kind.

Body talks

Body, mind and spirit
does do it for you,
if the mind is sound
and the spirit alert
then why in the world
can the body not follow?

Splinted atoms of yore
turns into a tsunami
of a fire bomb
and then after a while
nature heals slowly.

My body away from
a beloved place
rebels -
again I have asthma
nose problems -
within not even one week
I am back on medication.

Either my mind
is on speed and sorrow
that it affects
that corpse of mine
or nature is telling
me - to go back?

Glooming doom?

Vigga the Volva was again alarmed
nothing was quite safe in her woods
she wandered near Ygdrasil her tree
for life, of life, to life
it looked sad, the leaves turned too soon
the weather was weary - dreary
what in the world was wrong?

A global warmth or coldness swept
the age old globe of Gaia
some places were more hot
other spots turned colder
the animals were disappearing
humans were multiplying
so the old earth could not
feed and accommodate every one.

Disasters of Africa's horn
threw famine at that particular spot
in Asia tsunamis were growing
in her world the rain kept pouring
down for days - a beginning of ice age?
Ygdrasil had had too much heat
and now too much water - the roots rotting
and decay setting in -sadly.

She had had a weird dream
yesternight - way off her normal reveries
she was forced to cover her windows
in the house with papers
otherwise the it could not withstand
the temperatures of 235 degrees!
Talk of an ecological nightmare.

She again went and muttered
around her little brook
which had taken a hit and was
completely stuffed with debris
of logs and left-overs from
the recent very heavy rainfall,
unprecedented - 40 years hence
another storm flooded her
pristine flow of water.

The volva Vigga trod carefully
swinging her light cape
soon she would have to change
to the more warm one
she was still very worried
and in spite of the gloom
of days of doom people
still managed to find joy.
Was that the answer?
Nay, Gaia will say soon
she has had enough
and that humans will obey her.

Philo de poche d'un apres-midi d'ete

L'inverse de bonheur
n'est pas malheur
mais la misère
car la fatalité est un fait
tandis que le chagrin
restera sans limite.

L'antipode de la vivacité
n'est pas indifférence
mais l'extinction
car l'apathie finira souvent
au lieu de la cessation
restera a la fin.

La vie bleue

La vie porte des couleurs
l'adolescence est fortement rose
et souvent noir
le moyen âge
vives teintes des rouges
jaunes et vertes parfois grises
la dernier partie
adoucie des annees passees,
reste toujours bleue.

Outre Atlantique et moeurs

La sexualité jolie
entre homme et femmee
est comme une vigne
cela éblouit - cela aide
des partenaires consensuels
main il y a une ligne
de démarcations
en outre Atlantique
un peu plus voilé
des gens en politique
avec leurs grands pouvoirs
seront par contre époilé
et jugée fortement
comme des sorcières puritaines
avec leurs moeurs
c'était mieux de débuter
une guerre des prémisses fausses
de faire l'amour ailleurs
mais étant donne que
les faits de prerogatives humaines
sont politiquement fuite
le pouvoir ne lui donne pas
carte blanche de la promiscuité
le droit de fruitier.

Humidité humilie

Dans les tropiques

car c'est la vie.

Je suis chez moi
saine et vivante
en buvant de l'eau
fraiche et froide.

Humidite me humilie
a reconnaitre
l'humain en moi.

Un rayon de soleil

Un jour une amie a sauve
un petit martinet
elle l'a donne a manger
avec une pipette;
bref, il a vécu
des qu'il a grandi
un matin de bonne heure
il a vole et est parti.

Cette année elle est sure
qu'il est revenu
un jour dans sa salle de bain
elle a entendu
un bruit dans une vase
un oiseau s'était prisonne
que faire? essayée tous
excepte donner a manger.

Alors patiemment avec
des morceaux de pain
en dehors vers la liberté
elle lui a fait un chemin.
Il l'a trouve encore
sa propre indépendance
avec l'aide de humain
avec foi et confidence.

A klutz - that's me

Some are dexterious
some are not
some are prestigous
some are klutz

today in a friend's garden
watering her plants
of course the hose got lose
spraying my pants
trying desperately to stop
the water from running
getting wet all over
thank godness -it's sunning

some are dexterious
some are not
some are injurious
some are klutz

The other night I fell down
in a friend's house
hurt my foot but was ok
another night with my spouse
still tripped down
the same staircase
and this time I sprained
my ankle - terribly
I everywhere can get maimed.

Some people are dexterious
some are not
some people are curious
I am a klutz.

Hiding

Handwriting
they say reveals a lot
about the writer
lefty or righter?

Depends
and that's why I
only hide behind

That way

Au secours

Je brûle
mon esprit
ne pense
qu'au
jeux
qu'on fait
ensemble.
Je brûle
mon ventre
rêve
d'être touche
par les mains
cherchant
la joie.
Je brûle
a l'intérieur
de moi
mes eaux coulent
en vain
éperdument
Je fige.

Le libanais est mort

Le libanais est mort
un petit homme dans ma rue
qui voyait tous
qu'il passait dans notre voie.

Il aimait et parlait
avec tout le monde du quartier
lui avec sa femme
venaient du Liban - trente ans.

Il voyait les vielles
des bon mots pour les gens
il fumait ses gitanes
il n'y avait plus des dents.

Il aimait beaucoup des filles
jeunes et en fleur
il les savouraient de ses yeux
comme un mâle très avide.

Sa femme devenait imbécile
tous les jours - pire
il essayait de la soigner
ce lui était difficile.

L'ironie franchement est
qu'elle vit encore
dans son lit - infantile
un esprit perdu - patient.

Le Libanais est mort
gentil et me montant
que nous passons seulement
dans cette ruelle a la fin.

Empty

Empty
a vessel unfilled
presumptious of me
to think
I could fill it
void
empty void
a bare earth
cocksure I
tried to cover it
in vain
of course
I have to fill
the earth and its gulf
with dirt and water
emptiness
within

An advice?

An email landed in my inbox
a sad one telling the tale
of betrayal and power play
of sneakiness and sex.
A feeling of sadness
encroached my throat
bitterness of the broadcaster
imcomprehension vex'd.
What can a friend say
returning to the outbox
drop - drop - drop
fly away - your wings flex.

Starry eyed do

On this night... starts
a well-known song ...
a thousand stars
yes to night I saw hundreds
from where I was sitting
secluded safe somewhere.
It was a slow coming
three - four seven
and then just then
they lightened up.
I know now what it is
to be stary-eyed
and the ancient mariners
and travellers at night
went by these gps points.
The romantic person
in me says - dreamy stuff
Practical lady sighs
follow their guidance.
The in-between me screams
just don't dream - just do.

Un matin comme un autre

Une promenade matinale
au soleil brillant diurnal
en train de faire les courses
chez le marchand de journal
je sort et la au frontal
une rencontre aux alentours
d'un être bien captivant
avec qui je me sens
très emotivement a l'aise
on s'embrasse en dirant
comme vas-tu, cher vivant
ton amie - française?
Je monte la petite colline
vraiment sans discipline
en me rendant au marche
la j'achète de lanoline
et aussi de grenadine
en observant sur la pavée
les femmes en mousseline
parlant avec leurs copines.
Ici dans mon village
il y a un avantage
les gens parlent entre eux
des fois un peu malicieux
mais aussi avec gentillesse
on transmet des faits nombreux
au lieu de se taire sacchareux
la vie continue sans cesse.

My secret vice

I have a secret vice
not playing dice
much more involved
yet - unresolved
because I shu bi do
love Placido Domingo
his voice is just wow
that's all I know
and yet night after night
youtubing I
listen to his vocal
in my own focals
an hour or two passes by
losing sleep
but infinetely better
than counting sheep
his voice makes me wetter
than a good lie.

An olde form

Happiness is when
you know you are alive
when you have guests over
and they seem to enjoy
what you do what you serve.
Happiness is when
you know you are trying
your best to give something
back to others
- not expecting payback -
just for your own sake
doing it because it is fun.
Is that not what life
sometimes should be like?

a l'ancienne chaque apres-midi.
Les vielles femmes sur le banc
disputent jusqu'au crepuscule
tous les terriens tires-au-flanc
et les hommes d'un groupuscule
sous les arbres epoustouflants
debattent les sports ejacules.
Chaque generation y trouve
avec veneration apres l'age sage
sans la jeunesse se reprouve
sa verite changeante temoinage
que les temps font profondes douves.

Simenon revisited

Le Monde has reissued
all Simenon's novels
know for Maigret of course
more importantly
I find his depictions
of life's sordid details
and fate's complete
haphazardness
brilliant - so underrated
his 20/20 view of man
clear - under the microscope
is a healthy reminder
that we are all flawed.

Reve passionne

des rêves passionnes
sans le vouloir embrasses
a travers le logique
ce aphrodisiaque
se montre plus fort
que jamais - je m'endort
avec un sourire
je veux transcrire
le sentiment entre
la rougeâtre encre
et mes vielles cuisses
brûlant comme en soixante-huit
la passion de l'etre
etant fortement le maitre
se fait au bout des doigts
l'appetit obeit la loi

Sprained ankle

Fell down, obviously-
took a ride in an ambulance
x-rays - no broken bones
just a sprained ankle.

Sitting on my hiney
not able to jump, run
or even walk pitifully -
and only with a broom.

Nice crutches but
they do not work
for me with weak
arm muscles - ahh.

Hence, this useless
inane idiotic verse
'bout a bruise and
the unwarranted rest.

A sprained ankle

As I sitting with my foot in the air
I try not to too much despair
of all the things that could have happened
this is a minor accident - saddened
that I cannot run around for a few days
only to grin of my stupidity's delays.

Work of memory

A memory gone

taste, smell, feel,
hear or see it again -
Magically it appears,
no control -
so just embrace
and face it.

Often times
it is hard work
to overcome obstacles
from childhood traumas
- and perhaps
you will not succeed

but you should always
try - cause you never know
-
that memory may bring
soothing closure
or horrible nightmares
but facing it

you own it -
it will not own you.

My bed

Getting my bedroom back
due to laying of tiles
painting the walls
I have been sleeping elsewhere
but soon - maybe tonight
I shall return to my "normal" bed.
Fugitives and homeless
never have their own proper cots.
Each sleeping place has its history
violence - happiness
sweat - tears - screaming
exstasy - plain calmness
playfulness - joining
two backs away from each other
kids crawling in wtih you
dogs cats and other critters
ubiquituous bedbugs and dustmites
so many going-ons in a bed.
Maybe I shouldn't dream
of going back into my cradle?

d'une maniere calme et paisible;

gratuitement - horreur...
Tous les gens veuillent
être avec les amis et leur famille
900 tickets pour 300 personnes
et la confusion est complète
des erreurs des batailles
de la vie calme bouleversée
peut-etre il faut ajouter
des tables a manger
pour que tout le monde soient
contents - un problème a résoudre
un autre cauchemar....

In search of .....?

Piling into the car
on the road to a winery
trata trata tah
Getting a taste
with bread and cheese
yumyum yumyum yuuum
a lunch under the tent
with - you guessed it - wine
ija ija ijee
A walk in a fete du vin
yielded not - tableau
oui oui oui oui - fini!

Un soir au bord de l"Orb

Un ete - une soiree
Beziers au crepuscule
L'eglise St Nazaire
se place en funambule;
et a l'amphitheatre
la foule calme ecoute
en mangeant des crevettes,
du vin rose glougloute;
la musique jazz moderne
du flair des manouches
mon ame se baigne vif
tendre et farouche.

Monetizing - never

To monetize or not
that is the question
for what is nobler in the mind
than a being believing
in the goodness of the Earth?
Alas - money is not
and shall not reign this blog
I still think hope and ideas
should be free - forever.

A cinematographic eve

A simple phone-message
ends up being a fabulous
and an eventful eve
with people saying goodbye
to an era of an old cinema
it will not longer be there
and 80 years of memories
gone down the tubes.
Later spending hours chatting
about this and that
extensive discussions
on religion, on life
while partaken in wine
at a cafe in the open air
the cicadas chirping
new moon rising over
the art-nouveau mansions
another night to remember.

A simple Sunday

Waking up to meet a friend
getting in a grand car
driving off to a village
with a market - on the early side

Putter around the stalls
buying veggies and an old book
sitting on a cafe in the shade
having a creme and a "noir".

Jumping into the car again
driving up the mountains
to the lands of my friend
with stunning views of the maquis.

Driving up to another ground
higher up with more of wild bushes
the smells of flower rosemary
lavender, thyme - earth.

Sadly deserted were the little huts
broken into many times
again driving away and down
to a big Sunday lunch.

The outside counrtyard was cozy
waiters hopping - and the meal
delightfully filling and French
with just two glass of wine.

Back to our own little crazy place
sitting outside his porch
reminiscing of days gone
and his sadness - lessening not.

Later in the eve he came at ate
a simple meal of the French
ratatouille and duck breast
a bottle of wine was shared.

Small-talked laughing listening
to musis opening to each other
that is what life should be like
and companionship of a chum.

A simple man

A hump of sorrow
in the body of a man
kicked him
so he almost couldn't enter
the cottage
where he and his wife
stayed for many years.
Everything hit him -
The cobwebs, the dirt,
the sheer emptiness.
Why am I in this place?
Did I do the right thing to come?
Nothing - just nothing
would help the loneliness
except maybe the friends
he and his wife had made
in this odd place.
But they would never
take the place of
the warm body, her smell
her smile, his life.

Maelstrom

A whirlpool - a vortex
we are living it
with the threats of financial falls
of debt burdens today.
If we get too close
we shall like the ancient ones
believed fall off the earth
or mayhap get sucked down
like Odysseus near Charybdis
but whatever we do
the mortal maelstrom awaits.

Camina burana added

Carmina Burana
of flesh and irony
the god named Kama
is showing vitally
sex is a dancing mamba
it is like simony.

Apparently this is my 1000 poem according
to the blog counter! So instead of a
sad poem - I thougth of living it a bit.

Sich Selbst

Mit Sehnsucht und Zorn
gehen einige in der Welt
und wissen nicht
wie sie eigentlich
sich dastellen koennen;
denn sie denken nur
an sich selbst.
Fuer sie gibt es
sehr selten
eine befriendige Loesung.
Nur unwillige halbherzige
Entwicklungen und ganz einfach
unbeugsamme Ahnung wurden sie
gegeben - nicht anderes.

Tossing Grook

This world is revolving
around each of us
strange how we see it
each to her own toss.

This globe is umbilical
and yet we do harm
we have learnt nothing
so she goes alarm.

The earth tolerates only
so much of abuse
humans hence - we must change
or she throws a noose.

Something is rotten

Denmark a tiny country
in a bowl with big fish
will never give an inch.

Denmark is a small kingdom
with Gargantuan aspirations
think - they know what's best.

Denmark is a megalomanic land
postulating they are special
and demand exceptional treatment

Denmark seen from a Dane outside
it doesn't subscribe to the Euro
out of Europe - you are "rocking the boat".

A small bleat on reading about
the ex-foreign minister's comment
on why he thinks the Danes should
not be in the EU.

Reste fidele

d'accepter mon corps.

Quelle beaute dans l'esprit
qu'on trouve partout - si on s'ouvre
vers le monde diversifie.
Ne passe pas par les ruelles etroites
embrasse la progression soi-meme
cela serait toujours a l'autrui.

Des visages differente d'une femme

Une intellecto du jour
une demi-monde de la nuit
une description insuffisante
d'une personne de ma connaissance
une falaise en fleur
un abre aride et arque
n'importe quoi - se balance
une dame - transhumante.

Un jour de souvenir

Un jour allieurs
avec un tuteur
c'etait vraiment
le temps different.
On a vu les artisans
ainsi que des businessmans
et on a etudie l'architecture
sans oublier la nourriture
car on est en France
et la on fait la romance
du muguet et du saumon
le vin - on tourne en rond.
Voila un moment passe
le souvenir classe.

A village war?

Near the little brook leading
into the hamlet with the green
somewhere on the windswept plains
the Volva Vigga walked daily
wondering why it is difficult
for people to agree -
how wars start - over land.
She had been observing a friendly feud
for a few years now - shaking
her auburn tresses she muttered
why are friendly folks no longer
friendly, jolly and neighborly.
It all started when a neighbor's
house - which has some old hovels
behind it, adjacent and attached to it.
These abodes no longer inhabited
and were hazardous and dangerous.
In the house there were an woman
who lived alone, her spouse were
gone most of the time to wars,
but he had promised that he would return
to live with her in that little hovel.
Behind the hut were ruins -
they leaned on their walls
and the town council in its wisdom
had decided that the waning walls
should be torn down and let light in.
A few others were on the same lane
but across the alley way the neighbors
nearsightedly eyed an opportunity
to get some of that land in front
of their property, albeit crossing
the little - narrow but ancient lane.
The little lady knew that
she could not stand for the pressure
alone - until her husband would come
so she elected to be evasive.
She who says less does not promise.
The town council held a meeting
many of the inhabitants came
but those with true access were asked
to say what they wanted.
The lady with her little house
said that she would like some land
but was willing to let the neighbor
across the lane get some part to walk
in front of her claim - no good
The neighbor on their other side
with volatility and evocatively
said - she wanted a part just across
from her house - actually her daughter's.
The neighbors hemmed and hawed and
finally decided to go further away
(about a walk of less than one minute)
to get that big lot of land they wanted.
Vigga Voelva mused that the little woman
had told her the next day -
the neighbor's lady of the house
yelled and said they were extremely
angry with her for not following their wishes
and they did not want to see her
- for a while. - The woman had
met the neighbor accidentally
- how could they not - and
he had averted her eyes - and did not
respond to her friendly hello.
War was brewing in the little village.
Vigga the Voelva - nodded -
it was going to take time before
that knot would be cut and maybe never.
Alas, the little woman said to her,
but what if it had been them
having direct access to the land,
would they even have considered me?
There is nothing you can do or say
that will make people feel better
and besides, the wondering Voelva
was warily adding to her comment.
There is also your long gone husband
to kindly consider, he would never have
given them any access either, would he?
The little woman quietly looked ahead
dreaming of another world with no wars.
She shook her white mane, No.
Vigga the Voelva patted the woman
on her arm, Give them time,
after all they are getting a big plot.
She gave the little woman a sunny smile,
In the end it shall be all right.
They said goodbye and the wise Voelva
moved slowly back to her woodlands
and her house beyond the brook
near Yggdrasil - muttering mostly
to herself and the fey of the land.
No there will not be peace ever
only when man is gone then mother earth
can start breathing freely again.
She went down to the brook, looked
at all the debris from the village -
sighing, she went further up the stream
where she found another source of water
that came directly from the earth.
Here she thanked the great mother
and took her flask filling it with
the pristine, crystal clear water.
She smiled as she raised her flask
to her lips - drinking the liquid.
Cold and beautifully satisfying
the water slid down her throat.
She felt ready to go on and talk
to her highborn sister Sophia
and after that she would write
to her dear daughter Gemma Sarah.
The world would go on - and at least
the tiny squabbles of the people
did not bother the Grand Gaia.

Un fil d'Adriadne

Un fil d'Adriadne d'un jour
a commence il y a longtemps
qui se mene depuis des annees
je commence a me soumettre
meme si cela se montera
comme un fil de fer
en me donnant des eraflures
blessantes et sanglantes
je le suivrai - ouvertement
sans des arrieres-pensees.
Sauf si je ne le courtise pas
- la vie sera un trou grisant.

Un repas

Un homme tres viril -
un beau garcon -
dans sa jeunesse
essaie de rattraper
son don juan d'autrefois
mais ses companions
du village le connaissent
trop bien - et
le pauvre etait blesse
en s'enfuiant tot
pretendant
qu'il avait pas le temps
pour finir - le repas.

danger - born a woman.

To woman born - a girl
ravage, rapes, rage
that is her future
if born in many states.
Of woman born - a boy
murder, mayhem, madness
that is his outlook
How little femininity
is valued - without it
man could not exist.

In the Guardian today,
five countries,
Afghanistan, DRC Congo,
Pakistan, India, Somalia,
rank the most deplorable
places for women to be born.

Un grook sur la vie

L'heure a sonne
un fait banal
pour l'etre mort
un trait fatal
C'est la vie
un cas total.

Les traits des noms

Alexandre, Cesar, Napoleon,
tous les hommes de grand noms
et si on donne aux enfants
les leurs - pour histoire
des traits speciaux en revant
un d'eux soit un nouvel espoir.
Helena, Catharine, Eleanor
pas des memes tambour-majors
il y a toujours un trait sexuel
qu'il y en n'a pas chez les garcons
dommage - par ce que c'est cruel
- les femmes sont des flocons.

A Anibale et mon petit-fils

Sombre a l'ombre.

Memoires d'outre tombe
mais sur ce cote de la vie
sans lesquelles - trop tard.
Accepterons avec aplomb
apart de manger et boire
nous reste l'amour ravi.

Happy poetry

Happy poets are crazy oxymora
they do not exist
therefore I am obsolete.

Happy poetry will not last
only deep sadness
will reign over minds forever.

Happy thoughts, however, show
your ability to fight off
depression and kicks of time.

Happy people live much easier
or at least do not brood
so they fill their brains with joy.

Happiness is full of good endorphins
which can save your outlook
on the shitty, damning, unfair world.

Happy verses are easily expressed
they tend to fly away
only to be forgotten stanzas.

Tablets and Babylonians

The electronic tablets
are the newest gadgets
and yet we will not
like when clay was hot
the Babylonians scribes
wrote about their tribes
be able to completely router
to archaeologists of the future
whatever we were saying
but the ancients conveyings
will still stand tall
and our era will be gone for all.

Une existence impromptue

Incorrigible j'aime
la vie ici
sans les plans fixes
demandee hier
de me rendre quelque part
dans un mois et demi
j'ai dit non
car je ne sais pas
d'ou je suis demain.
Une existence impromptue
a la folie vivante.

Searching for what???

I do not truly believe
in a fortuitous happenstance
but in the case of where
I am currently residing
karma - kismet is present -
an incredible serendipity.
So even when going on
a menhir/an upright boulder
search - an walk with a
- you would call him -
diviner - devinator -
a searcher for magnetic fields
around the churches or
the ancient holy places
there must be more
than just air between
the earth and the divine mother
of our ancient Demeter.
She has called me
to this tiny spot of earth
to rest my weary bones
and not awakened spirit
- for it to grow into
an eloquent essence and
equalzing earthling
as well as a descendant
of an ancient rite of passage.
Death and the smelly moss
await me - a vineyard field
will be my solemn grave -
but before that happens
I am going to live
vacariously - vivaciously.

Gum and the world

Chewing gum is healthy
(specially if it's sugarless)
but not so very becoming
therefore it's something
that you do inside the house
to relieve the stress
of living and worrying
about the world - the belfry
in the town tells me ding ding
but I totally digress
with my muddled thinking
these strange murmurs of gum
the global communty's run
but the hygienists espouse
using gum you can do gently.

(Do not throw gum in the streets)

Cuntomat

In Denmark you feel free
- Danish girls especially
where they can be so blunt
to take photos of their cunts
installed at a music festival
photo in private your genitals.

Imaginary chat with a house!

Nine o'clock on a quiet Wednesday eve
what could happen if I walked out
disappeared forever - in lala land
to Shangri la - to Hades front gate,
oh wait he doesn't have one
and that Tibetean paradise exist not,
but my little French house's walls
of at least a yard thick presents itself
poignantly - presently
it does not want to be ignored.
Here I have stood for 700 years
and I am still standing -
I demand seriously to be taken
seriously for granted - I am
therefore I exist and don't forget
I shall still be here when you are gone!
Walk out - beat it go - but you seem
to enjoy my shelter like the others
countless, I tell you, most of them
fairly normal hardworking people.
I can remember in the 14 c the nuns
had built an adjacent building
to their nunnery - and I was it.
Sister Cecilia - our prioress
was devoted to her little flock
some of them sheltered the descendant
of Adalais - the owner of our church.
In 1637 I recall a baker and his wife
they made bread and love every day
and there were children running
around my heavy foundations.
Later in 1747 we had some bad years
and one man hanged himself from the rafter.
It is still there, the mark, although
you would not be able to find it.
A sole owner of the late 17000
was a curmudgeon and a drunk.
But his voice use to ring through
the walls - just when your daughter
just sang for your friends two weeks ago.
So dearest owner, stay and enjoy
the life of my history and I shall
yield more of it - when I feel like it.

Une homme comme les autres

Un homme s'indentifie
avec le fait de l'amour
tout qu'il en pense est
la manque de cette fonction.

Il regrette - il deplore
son emasculation permanente
il est autant si deprime
qu'il se sent un mort vivant.

Est-ce qu'il ne pouvait
se rendre utile d'autrement?
Quel dommage qu'il n'y a
que cela dans sa vie!

Il y en a d'autres qui
survivent avec sans.
Ils aident quand meme
leurs femmes aux manipulations.

L'esprit de la sexualite
reste toujours au fond
dans le centre du cerveau
pas dans la penetration.
